Yes. Residents who are able and choose to do so may work, attend day programs, volunteer, or participate in community-based activities as part of their individual goals and support plan. Our home is designed to support independence, daily structure, and meaningful community involvement based on each person’s needs and preferences.
IDS is intentionally designed to feel like home—not an institution. Our smaller family-style setting allows for more individualized attention, consistency, and relationship-based support. We focus on helping residents build independence, maintain dignity, and enjoy a safe, welcoming environment where they are known as individuals, not just a placement.
We welcome referral inquiries from case managers, social workers, guardians, and families. Contact Independent Disability Services to discuss availability, ask questions, explore placement fit, or schedule a tour of our home. Cell Phone: 218-851-1044. Call, text or email.
