The objective of Park Avenue Center is to provide gender specific clinically and structurally individualized treatment that is high quality, cost-effective, and research-based. As outlined in TIP 35, Enhancing Motivation for Change in Substance Abuse Treatment, TIP 44, Substance Abuse Treatment for Adults in the Criminal Justice System, and National Institute on Drug Abuse’s (NIDA) Principles of Drug Addition Treatment: A Research Based Guide and Principles of Drug Abuse Treatment for Criminal Justice Populations, each client’s individualized strengths and needs will be assessed including identifying client’s level of motivation, expectations, medical needs, mental health needs, and available resources.

We believe that the environment really does matter! Creating absolutely gorgeous surroundings influences how clients feel and behave. You really have to experience the atmosphere to fully appreciate its effect. Our supervised, free off-site housing is also maintained with care and attention to beauty, adhering to our philosophy that the environment really does matter. The result is a home-like, non-institutional setting that provides a comfortable and respectful atmosphere for the delivery of our treatment services.

The first step in entering treatment is typically to have a substance abuse assessment. The purpose of the assessment is to assess a person’s drug and/or alcohol use to determine if treatment is needed, what level of care is most appropriate, which program might best meet the client’s needs, and to complete any insurance funding requirements.
