Thomas Allen’s Jefferson CRS is a split-level home, located in a quaint and quiet neighborhood in Shakopee, MN. The home hosts two bedrooms on the upper (main) level, and two more bedrooms on the lower level. Each floor has its own full bathroom and a living room with television.
Currently, three women live at this home, and they range in age from 25 to 35. The women at this home are an active bunch; they enjoy shopping, working out at the local community center, going to the local library, going to movies, out-to-eat, and participating in Special Olympics. The women in this home have similar interests and get along well with each other, but they also have individual interests and are able to independently construct their down time. They would be interested in someone moving in that is social and enjoys participating in community activities and outings with them.
This program provides a 24-hour staffing pattern with overnight asleep staff. An R.N. is available if there is a need and funding is available to receive these services. The women generally attend a day program or are employed competitively in the community Monday – Friday. Double staffing is provided for the facilitation of chosen outcomes, as well as community activities and outings. There is scheduled double-staffing every weekday evening as well as on the weekends.
