It is in close proximity to many resources including banks, grocery stores, convenience stores, and department stores. It is also situated near a school with a park and walking trail nearby. It is in a thriving area of Shakopee with many new neighborhoods and varied professional and community resources.
Swift Lane currently has three women between the ages of 50 and 60 with mild to moderate intellectual disabilities. These women are very active in their community; they can be seen volunteering and participating in their favorite sports through Special Olympics. They enjoy going to the movies, out to eat, walking or biking outside, and attending the local community center during the winter months. These women enjoy crafts, puzzles, games and cooking during their downtime at home. The house is double staffed during weekday afternoons and evenings and all day on the weekends, and we have one asleep overnight staff.
