Gilbert – South St. Paul– one opening for a male resident

Gilbert is home to adult men with intellectual disabilities, mental health issues and
age-related challenges. The current age range is 20 to 50. These service recipients
generally either work or attend day programs. A common goal for the men at
Gilbert is maintaining their basic living skills as independently as possible. Staff assist
with personal care as needed. Gilbert service recipients enjoy going out into the
community on shopping outings, restaurant visits, movie theaters, or visiting with
family and friends. They usually take short walks several times a day to stay active.
The current service recipients exhibit mild to moderate maladaptive behaviors on a
regular basis.
The home is in a quiet residential area of South St. Paul. In addition, Gilbert is also
equipped with a house van that staff use when they go on outings with Service
Recipients and for medical appointments. The home is located within 2-3 miles of
Robert Street. This street has many opportunities for various restaurants and retail
stores for shopping. Gilbert is a rambler-style home with three bedrooms on the
main level and one bedroom on the lower level. Staffing is co-ed. Gilbert has an
overnight staffing.
